Honesty. A bit of humour. And a dab hand with the written word without becoming that boring guy at the Christmas party who won’t stop banging on about the Oxford Comma*. That’s my recipe for being a writer. I think it’s a pretty good one. Especially with a dash of lime.
(*Full disclosure: I love the Oxford Comma. It won a court case, for heaven’s sake!)
Bite Copywriting is my response to the mediocre content that is being churned out by too many organisations. While your competitors gum their prospects into indifference with mediocre content, I’ll help you create content with teeth.
Who am I?
The name’s James Kelly and writing is definitely my game.
I’m a copywriter with a career spanning over 20 years. In that time, I’ve written for clients as diverse as the UK Government, toy manufacturers, insurance companies and hospitals. So you don’t need to worry about whether I can write for your sector.
And I’ve written everything from taglines to books, web copy to MRI machine manuals. So whatever content you need, I’ve probably already written something similar.
Basically, I’m a safe bet. Who doesn’t love a high-reward safe bet?
What makes me different?
I write books.
Here’s why that’s important.
Once you’ve written 100,000+ word books, a 500-word blog is a walk in the park. That’s because the diligent research, the careful management of the reader’s experience, and maintaining a consistent voice and message needed is all dialled to 11 when you’re writing a book.
And once you have a few of them under your belt, you can apply those Grade-11 skills to every blog, landing page, social post, tagline, and so on.
In short, I can write you anything from 1 word to 100,000+.
What do you need to know?
Before we work together, you need to know this:
I don’t do mediocre. And I don’t do sitting down and shutting up. If I think something can be improved, I’ll speak up. Sometimes that means more work. Sometimes that means less work.
If I spot an opportunity to do something incredible, the investment will bring in new prospects and grow your business.
And if someone has been telling you that you should churn out a 300-word blog every week fOr ThE gOoGlE, I’m going to save you a lot of time and money.
Either way, if you’re looking for someone to shut up and do as he’s told, look elsewhere. If you’re looking for someone to bring two decades of experience to make your content better than you could have imagined, let’s talk.
